Song-Kol Horse Riding Escape
- 01DAY 1
Arrive in Bishkek
Transfer to your hotel and take time to recover from your journey. Meet your local team to discuss riding experience, equipment and the week ahead.
- 02DAY 2
Bishkek to Kochkor
Drive towards Kochkor with cultural stops as time allows. Stay in a guesthouse, meet your guide and prepare a light overnight bag for the riding section.
- 03DAY 3
Into the summer pastures
Transfer to the riding start near Kyzart. After a helmet and horse-fitting briefing, ride at a pace suited to the group towards a seasonal yurt camp.
- 04DAY 4
Ride towards Song-Kol
Follow the guide across the mountain landscape towards Song-Kol when the pass is accessible. Break regularly and dismount on sections the guide considers unsuitable for riding.
- 05DAY 5
Life beside the lake
Enjoy a shorter local ride or time around the camp. Meet your hosts, share simple meals and experience the rhythm of the summer pastures.
- 06DAY 6
Return to Bishkek
Leave the lake by the route your guide recommends and drive back to Bishkek. Settle into a hotel with time to unwind after camp life.
- 07DAY 7
Departure from Bishkek
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Additional city nights can be arranged around your flight schedule.

Expect basic shared yurts and limited facilities during the riding section; hotel twin sharing applies only in towns. Starting estimates assume a small-group departure, with private trips quoted separately. Share your riding experience and fitness needs before booking. Helmets, rider limits, suitable horses, altitude considerations and riding insurance must be confirmed with the operator.
